‘Innovation’ has been a term mostly used in business contexts to mean a new product or service is to be developed. Innovation can mean outputs that simply sustain profits, at least for the short term. However, SPS believes that innovation tools can produce the changes we really need in the world around us. Innovation certainly also means change, but change without a method for achieving a given result is not sustainable innovation.
